Byron A. Good

Byron Arthur Good, age 88 of Farwell, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Byron was born the son of the late Byron Guy Sr. and Edith Mary (Eakers) Good on March 17, 1938 in Detroit. He was a graduate of Flat Rock High School and had attended Wayne State University for 2 years and Henry Ford Skilled Trades School for 3 years. He was united in marriage to Marian I. Buckley on August 29, 1958. Byron worked for General Motors as a Tool Maker, retiring after 34 years in 1993. Shortly after retirement he and Marian had moved to Farwell from Romulus. Byron loved to spend time with his grandchildren; he was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His faith was most important to him; he was an active member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Farwell where he served as a Deacon and treasurer alongside his good friend Pat Cooke, Superintendent, teacher, and van driver for the Sunday school, and ran the sound system for numerous years. Prior to moving to Farwell, Byron also served as a Deacon and in the Sunday school program at Evangel Baptist Church of Taylor, MI. Byron is survived by his wife Marian; children Byron “Guy” (Betty) Good of Farwell, Kimberly Jean (Don) Meyer of Farwell, John Allen (Maria) Good of Farwell, Stephen Ray (Laura) Good of Ypsilanti, Alexander Bruce (Lisa) Good of Farwell and Benjamin Patrick Good of Farwell; grandchildren Shannon (Brian) Roose, Tracy (Stephen) King, Byron Joseph (Courtney) Good, Heather (Darby) Elliott, Brian Meyer, Joshua (Laura) Good, Marian (Gary) Francis, Mathew (Emily) Good, Faith Good, Sam (Nathan) Bush, Bethany Good, Steven Curtis (Maria) Good, Melanie (Eric) Ferguson, Brandon (Victoria) Good, Jordan (Hope) Good, Emily Good, Aaron (Maria) Good, Adam (Jaide) Good, Grant (Ashley) Good, Jacob Good, and David (Sarah) Good; great grandchildren Alyssa, Austin (Maddie), Kyla, Callen, Liam, Marian, Isabel, Hadassah, Lincoln, Tyler, Austin, Kayla (Kyle) Hubbard, Serenity, Hunter, Haylee May, Ella, Isabel, Aiden, Cassie, Gwen, Elliott, Cole, Harper Lynn, Hudson John, Manny Ray, Titus, Megan, Nathan, Ivan, Theo, Gullianna and David; brothers Tim Good, Phil (Rosann) Good and Dan (Janlynn) Good. Visitation will be held at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 3 to 7 P.M. Services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at the Trinity Baptist Church at 2 P.M. with Brother Hugh Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in the Gilmore Twp.
