Richard J. Dusseau Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard J. Dusseau, age 88 of Farwell, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. Richard was born the son of the late Ralph and Ellen (Becker) Dusseau on July 21, 1932 in Flint. He was united in marriage to Bertha Ann Dreuth on September 13, 1952. Richard had served his Country during the Korean War in the Navy. He had worked for 30 years as a Die Setter at the AC Spark Plug Plant in Flint; upon his move to Farwell he had worked at the Farwell Area Schools as a Janitor. Richard liked to Sail, Hunt, Fish and paint with oil paints; his favorite subject to paint was Lighthouses. Richard was a faithful member of the Living Hope Lutheran Church in Farwell. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Ann Dusseau; children Ralph (Ann) Dusseau of Mullica Hill, N.J. and Marie (Steve) Proctor of Vancleave, MS; his brothers Dennis (Connie) Dusseau of St. Helen and Dallas Dusseau of Standish; 7 grandchildren, Edward Dusseau, Kayla Proctor, Matthew Everett, Andrew Proctor, Stephanie (Scott) Dunaway, Michelle Everett, and Carly (Dave) Long as well as 2 great grandchildren, Robert Dusseau and Maura Long. Richard was predeceased by his brother Robert Dusseau and grandsons Robert Dusseau and Michael Peariso. In keeping with the family’s wishes cremation has taken place with burial at a later date in the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Living Hope Lutheran Churches “Community of Hope”. Arrangements were handled by the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
