Mark A. Griffin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

With broken hearts, we are distraught to announce the unexpected passing of the most beautiful soul, Mark A. Griffin, of Lake, MI at the age of 63. The self-proclaimed king of everything and family foreman, who was sure no one could do anything right without him will be barking orders from heaven. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nothing more than his biggest trophy; his family. His larger than life personality filled up any room laughter and joy and he left very few untouched with his faster than light wittiness. Mark was a loving friend, father, brother, husband and most importantly “PaPa”, who always picked up the phone and answered the call no matter day or time. His unmistakable smirk underneath that beautiful mustache will never be forgotten and his bear hugs, dimples and numerous ways of making us laugh will be dearly missed. The amount of lives he has touched is as uncountable as the amount trophy bass he "caught" whenever he was fishing alone. Mark’s legacy and spirit will live on through his loving wife, Yvonne Griffin, children, Ashley and Bryan Nguyen Jacquelyn Griffin, and Rachel and Maarten Griffin-Hartman, Stepson Drew and Kathrine Heeg, and Stepdaughter Jessica and Kurt Reiter. Also surviving are his Brothers, Steve and Lorie Griffin and Lance Grffin, Pat Fineis, and Stepsister, Kathy Shoemaker. He will be missed even more by the true pride and joy of his life, his grandchildren, Stephen, Jason, Kole, Nathan, Dominic, Sawyer, Krystal, Clara, Bennett, Maggie, Selena and many more. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Griffin, father, Royce "Buzz" Griffin, Brother Kenny Griffin, and Jeffrey Griffin. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, at 2:00 PM at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home, 165 S. Hall St., Farwell, Michigan. Friends may meet with his family at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until 2:00 PM.
