Kenneth R. Barrick

October 19, 1944 - November 10, 2021

Kenneth Richard Barrick (Oct. 19, 1944 – Nov. 10, 2021) Kenneth Richard Barrick, age 77, of Harrison, formerly of Warren, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center with family by his side. He is now resting peacefully, but will forever be missed. Kenneth was born in Detroit to Albert and Jane (Franklin) Barrick. Kenneth was united in marriage to Elaine Barrick on September 24, 1966, in Warren. The love they shared was like no other. She predeceased him on February 28, 2019. He was a devoted husband, Dad, Papa, Pops, Uncle, Brother, and Friend. We cannot express enough how much he meant to this family. He loved with his whole heart. Ken was a hard-working truck driver and took pride in that job. He also had a successful lawn mower repair shop. His Dad taught him everything he needed to know about repairing lawn mowers. He was a great family man and just really enjoyed life. He would make friends wherever he went. If you were his friend, you were his friend for life. His nickname Smiley was so fitting, and he answered by that name with pride. You would find him every morning drinking coffee and eating donuts. If he wasn’t asking for donuts, he wanted deep-fried fish preferably Long John Silvers. He enjoyed going to the casino, bowling, hunting, scratch-off lottery tickets, tinkering in his garage, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Teamsters Local Union No. 337. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Elaine. He is survived by daughters Lynn Rodenish (Bill), Deborah Rodenish (Gary), and Kimberly Campbell (Bill); his grandchildren Tara Rodenish (Nik), William Rodenish, Matthew Rodenish, Amanda Rodenish (Michael), and Alixandria Campbell. He is also survived by his brother Albert, sister Shirley (Lee), many wonderful relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends Becky and Terrie. He has two nephews, Timmy and Ronnie, that were very special to him, and considered them like his sons. A heartfelt thank you to his niece Patti for being a part of his life since Mom passed. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Jane; brother David; sister-in-law Marion and Fabiola; brother-in-law Gabe and Charlie. The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor at MidMichigan Medical Center of Midland for the wonderful care he received. Visitation and services for Kenneth will be held at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Visitation will begin at 12 noon with services led by Pastor Jackie Raineri to start at 2 P.M. On-line condolences may be left at www.stephenson-wyman.com
