Janice Marie Elsea

Janice Marie Elsea, age 63, of Farwell, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at the MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born the daughter of Karl O. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Cleer) Franz on Sept. 20, 1954, in Midland. She graduated from Coleman High School and married Terry Lee Elsea who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2009. Janice had worked in the Housekeeping Department at Northwood’s Nursing Center and at the Soaring Eagle Casino. She was a member of the Clare Church of the Nazarene. Her favorite hobby was being a grandmother and could usually be found at one of her grandchildren’s sporting or other events. Janice is survived by her children, Terry (Julie) Elsea of Farwell, Anthony (Yolanda) Elsea of Clare, Harold J. (Bobbi) Elsea of Sharon, Tn., and Stephane (Jeremiah) Dewey of Farwell. Ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, her brother, Karl (Linda) Franz Jr. of Livonia, sisters, Theresa (Dave )Roza of Belleville, Rebecca (Scott) Waldron of Mason, and Julie Franz of Coleman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister Elizabeth Franz and brother, David Franz. Funeral Services for Janice will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 1:00 PM at the Clare Church of the Nazarene, 10160 S. Grant Ave., Clare, Mi., 48617, with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Friends may meet with her family at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
