Jack H. Boyer, age 87, of Farwell, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021. Jack was born the son of Ray and Agnes (Whitney) Boyer on Dec. 23, 1933, in Gladwin. He had married Yvonne Estep, who passed away. He later married Marilyn Davis, who also died young. On May 6, 1967, Jack married Catherine Stanek, who survives him. Jack served in the US Army just after the Korean War. He had worked as a foreman for the Laborers and the Teamsters, and had retired from Valley Mechanical Contracting. Jack was a longtime member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Survivors include: his wife, Catherine; his sons, Dan and Jennifer (his favorite daughter-in-law) Boyer of Grand Ledge, Paul and Lisa (his favorite daughter-in-law) Boyer of Beaverton, Brian Boyer of Farwell; his grandsons, Tucker, Cale, Alec, and Damon; and his brother, Henry Boyer. He was preceded in death by his wives, Yvonne in 1960 and Marilyn in 1965; his daughter Lorilee in 1998; and three sisters, Freda Orvis, Elizabeth Lynch, and Evelyn Stanek. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 14. 2021 at 4 P.M. at the Arthur Twp. Cemetery. A Dinner will follow at 5 P.M. at the Arthur Twp. Hall.
