Harley Grant Ferree Jr, age 72 of Farwell, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Harley was born the son of Harley and Myrtle (Stone) Ferree in Pontiac, MI. on May 18, 1947. In 1965 he was drafted and served in the Vietnam War; he was honorably discharged in 1968. Harley was united in marriage to Trauda Grimm on April 16, 1970 in Pontiac; they shared 49 years of marriage together. Harley worked in manufacturing during his working years. He loved to fish, camp, and watch sports with family, especially U of M, the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers. He also enjoyed coaching baseball which he did for his sons as they grew up. In his later years he cherished spending time with his grandkids most of all and was always excited about family get togethers during the holidays. He is survived by his three sons Harley G. (Angela) Ferree, III of Kingsford, MI., Jason (Kaylene) Ferree of Clare, and Brandon (Erika) Ferree of Lake Ann, MI. Other survivors include Harley’s six grandchildren Jaxson (Cassidy), Andrew, Ava, Addisyn, Noah, and Fae Ferree and his siblings Tami (Jim) Robinson, Diane (Ronald) Jenks, Brian (Diane) Ferree, and Brent Ferree. Harley was preceded in death by his parents Harley and Myrtle, his wife Trauda, and his sister Kathleen. In keeping with Harley’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
