Tiffany Marie Slater

Tiffany M. Slater, age 34 of Clare, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 4, 2025, with her family by her side. Tiffany was born the daughter of Robert and Tracie (Pelham) Wilson in Clare on October 16, 1990. She was a graduate of the Farwell High School class of 2009 and spent most of her days there playing basketball or getting into some kind of shenanigans. After high school, Tiffany attended CMU and graduated from the MJ Murphy Beauty College; she later went on to be an office manager. Tiffany and Ethan Slater met in 2011; they got married on August 23, 2014, and never looked back. Lots of love and adventures were made in those years. After years of trying for a baby, they finally got the rainbow baby they prayed for, a girl Olive Marie. Something Tiffany dreamed about for what felt like a lifetime was a reality. Tiffany loved homeschooling Olive, who was also blessed with amazing grandparents. Olive is, and was, the epitome of Tiffany; kind, loving, creative and smart with freckles and blue eyes too! Tiffany was a nature lover; camping, hiking, swimming, and being in the garden were some of her favorite things on earth besides Olive and Ethan. They loved to travel together yet were homebodies at the same time. Tiffany also loved to give; she loved serving the community on multiple boards like MOPS, Jaycees, and was always jumping at a new idea. She loved writing as a creative outlet, and her funny sense of humor kept us going. She and Ethan found Jesus together over the last few years and that has been nothing short of special and watching Olive’s baptism this past year was one of her most cherished memories as she was her pride and joy, and Ethan the glue. Tiffany’s words to live by: Life is short, do what you want. Tiffany is survived by her husband Ethan; daughter Olive; parents Robert and Tracie Wilson; aunt Pamela Wilson; cousins Benjamin McKewen and Olivia (Jordan Renner) McKewen; mother-in-law Kerry; 3 siblings-in-law James (Tessa) Slater, Austin (Courtney) Slater, and Haley (Johnnie Keel) Slater and their children, as well as an aunt Aundrea and her children. She was predeceased by her grandparents William and Sharon Wilson and Faye Pelham; her aunt and uncles Robin, Bruce and Steve, and her beloved great-great grandma Virgie. A celebration of Tiffany’s life will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Clare Church of Nazarene at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tim Fall officiating. An evening of memorial visitation will take place at the CCN on Friday, May 9th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A private inurnment ceremony will follow in the Vernon Township Cemetery where Tiffany will rest alongside her family members. Memorial contributions in honor of Tiffany may be directed to the METAvivor stage 4 breast cancer research and patient support, or to Olive Slater's Education c/o Ethan Slater.
