Scott M. Willman

Scott Michael Willman, age 59 of Gladwin, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. Scott was born the son of Joseph “Mike” and Nancy Helen (Williams) Willman on March 30, 1966 in Saginaw. He was united in marriage to Tina Struck on August 31, 1985. Scott had worked as a Truck Driving Instructor; his sister-in-law Tonya had summed up his life in the poem she composed about him titled I’ll Always Be Near. A man of the wilderness; hunting, fishing, walking a mile. Always up for a challenge with a great big smile. Although he could build almost anything. With a brush in his hand he could make the canvas sing. He captured the best of nature’s landscapes. And on birthdays getting frosting on your face you could never escape. He filled rooms with laughter and love for family. And his love for his wife; was plain to see. He spent hours building houses, cabins, and the occasional table. His legend of hunting will live on in fables. The oldest of four. The leader of the pack. If you were ever in need. He always had your back. His days of hunting with cousins, brothers and friends, will live in their memories and never end. If memories of me cause you to shed a tear. Just place your hand on your heart. For I’ll always be near. Scott had enjoyed reading Steven King novels, building motorcycles and fixing boats, as well as operating S and T Works a leather works company. Survivors include his wife Tina; children Kyle (Ashley Hockey) Willman and Angela (Josh) Jansen; his siblings Jeff (Tonya) Willman, and Brad Willman; his uncle and aunt Robert “Bob” Williams and Sue Plonta; grandchildren Alex Jansen, Tyler Quitliano, Gavin Jansen, Kaylee Jansen, Lexi Willman and Lydia Flagg and his nieces and nephews Joseph Willman, Ryan Willman, Nichole McMullin, Garrett Willman, William Willman, Emma Willman and Jett McMullin. Scott was predeceased by his parents and his brother Matt Willman. In keeping with Scott’s wishes cremation has taken place with a private Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Clare County. Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
