June Marie Creguer

A radiant light remains where a beautiful soul has passed... June Marie Creguer (née Thompson, Berg) passed away peacefully, with her compassionate caregivers at her side, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility on April 11, 2020, at the age of 86. June was born on October 5, 1933, to LG and Nina Thompson (née Colmus), the eldest of five children. A lifelong resident of Clare, Michigan, “Junie” was best known for her glowing smile and quick wit. She made innumerable, lifelong friends throughout her years of work at the Doherty Hotel, Mill End, and Lone Pine, among others. She loved music (which she lovingly instilled in her children), sewing, and playing cards. She was an amazing cook, even though she always said it wasn’t “fancy,” and she will forever be remembered for making the world’s best meatloaf and homemade breads. But above all, was her unrelenting trust in God. She was a dedicated member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Parish and committed her life to her faith and family. June was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Thomas (Tom) Creguer, her parents, previous spouse Wayne Berg Sr., and brother, Larry (Joyce) Thompson. Surviving are her four children, Wayne (Laura) Berg Jr., Gene (Karen) Berg, Sue (Mike) Manderbach, and Lynne (Daric) Feldpausch, and seven stepchildren, Wannalee, Rose, Dennis, Carolyn, Duane, David and Jerry (dec.), along with her brothers, Jim, Marvin (Joy), and Melvin (Laura) Thompson. She will be missed by her eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) Byer, Jill (Sean) Baugh, Jason (Lauren) Manderbach, Lindsey (Steve) Schunk, Ian (Rachael) Berg, Amanda (Chad) Churchill, Devon (Ashley) Feldpausch, and Austin (Claire) Feldpausch; and her eight amazing great-grandchildren (Ethan, Gavin, Ellie, Isaac, River, Bodhi, Kemper and Reed). A funeral mass in honor of June will take place on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Our Lady of Hope Parish-St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Clare at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Peter Nwokoye officiating. Following the mass, June's family will a funeral luncheon at the Grant Township Hall (located at 3302 E. Surrey Rd., Clare, MI. 48617) for those in attendance. *Please Note* Both the Church and Township Hall require that masks be worn and that social distance guidelines will be observed as designated for attendance.
