Grant S. Marcoux

Grant Steven Marcoux, age 75 of Lake, passed away on December 8, 2025. He was born on March 14, 1950 to Russell and Carla (Pratt) Marcoux and was a lifelong example of steadfast commitment to family, work and personal craftsmanship. Grant was united in marriage to Vickie (Gillette) Marcoux, with whom he shared many years of partnership and mutual support. He is survived by his children, Tonya Marcoux, Shawn (Wolfgang) Wagner, and Cody Marcoux; his stepchildren, Rudy (Nikki) Finney and Rosalind Randolph, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought joy and purpose to his life; also surviving is his brother Guy (Pam) Marcoux. Grant was preceded in in death by his brother, Gary Marcoux, his grandson, Rylee Finney, and his best friend Mike Watters. Grant’s professional life included many years of dedicated service as a machinist with General Motors. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he took pride in his craft and the precision it required. Earlier in life, Grant played semi-professional football, demonstrating discipline, determination and physical agility – qualities that continued to shape his character in the years that followed. A skilled woodworker, Grant devoted much of his personal time to creating fine cabinets, cedar chests and other handcrafted pieces. His woodworking projects remain meaningful reminders of his attention to detail and his appreciation for well-made, enduring work. Though he could be reserved and found it difficult to show warmth openly, Grant cared deeply for his family. His grandchildren in particular were a great source of pride and affection, and he valued the time he spent with them. He also enjoyed action movies and processed a quiet, understanding sense of humor that emerged in moments shared with those closest to him. Grant will be remembered for his dedication, his craftsmanship, and the legacy he leaves within his family. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Unforgettable Events; 5205 West Shaffer Road, Coleman, MI 48618.
