Danny E. Knox

Danny Eugene Knox, age 70 of Coleman, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at home. Danny was born the son of Charles and Clara (Osborn) Knox on May 2, 1954 in Detroit. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Helen; his sons Chad (Denise) Knox and Kevin (Jodi) Knox both of Milan and Daniel (Ashley) Fisher of Coleman; grandchildren Ryder, Hailey, Reese, Lexi, Aryiana and Grant; his older sister Debbie (Doug) Downard of Tecumseh and his younger sister Dorothy (Ron) Parker of Clearwater, Florida; and several loved nieces and nephews. Danny is proceeded in death by his parents; his bother Jimmy Knox; sisters Susan Cappelli and Anita Knox. Danny grew up in Belleville where he graduated from Belleville High School in 1972. While in High School and for several years afterwards Danny worked in grocery retail. Eventually he switched industries and after spending some time transferring autos from the assembly plant parking lot to the transportation terminal, he started driving Semi’s, finishing out his career as a truck driver. Throughout his life, Danny enjoyed boating, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting and was an avid fan of Drag Racing. Danny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, whether it was camping or watching one of the grandkids play sports. He was very proud of all his grandchildren and their accomplishments. Danny loved to stay busy, even in his retirement years. You could always find him either on his tractor mowing the lawn, under a car working on it, tinkering with a go cart or organizing his garage. He found amusement in buying and selling at auctions and shopping flea markets and yard sales. Danny never met a stranger; his family and friends have countless precious memories and will miss him terribly. Visitation will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17, 2024 beginning at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Lane Van officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
