Dale L. Cooper

Dale L. Cooper passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at the age of 79. He was born the son of John and Leona (Foster) Cooper on March 9, 1935 in Osceola County. He served his Country in the Navy for four years. Following his service to his Country he went to work for Hubscher and Son in Mt. Pleasant where he operated heavy equipment and later was a Foreman at the Clare-Loomis Plant for several years. He loved his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Years ago his class got him a KJV reference Bible and he used it to the end even though it was coming apart at the seams. He loved to hunt, enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved to travel the United States. Dale is survived by his wife Olive, four children by a first marriage Alan (Diane) Cooper of Cadillac, Christy Prout of Midland, Brian Cooper of Montreal, Quebec and Shari (Marc) Buccilli of Farwell; two step daughters Maleeya (Scott) Postma of Casper, Wyoming and Malissa Miller of Weidman; brothers Norman(Nila) of Clare, Calvin (Carol) of Clare, Philip (Carol) of Clare, Clinton (Lucy) of Lake George, Richard of Conroe, TX and Ken (Sharon) of Clare; his sisters Faye (Rudy) Salinas of Evart, Kathryn (Harold) Peckens of Farwell and Gloria Jean (Lance) Sprague of Harrison; a aunt Agnes Foster of Commerce Twp., 21 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased in death by his parents, brother-in-laws Raymond Tigner, Sr., Kenneth Hilyard Sr., sister Ruth and brother-in-law Lewis Funnel, brother Carl D. Cooper, step son Wilson Morley, Jr., Sister-in-law Patricia Cooper and some nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 6 to 9 P.M., and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Services for Dale will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Colonville Bible Church at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Josh Presley officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Twp.
