Connie L. Zinser

Connie L. Zinser, age 77, of Clare was reunited with her husband Richard when she passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Thursday, June 9, 2022. On May 3, 1945, she was born one of five children to Harold and Millie (Coughlin) Murphy, in Clare. She married Richard “Bubba” Zinser on March 4, 1963 in Clare and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Richard died on November 26, 2021. Connie had worked for over 25 years as a Physical Therapist at the former Clare Nursing Home. She had also served as the Building use scheduler for the Grant Township Hall for many years. Connie had attended the St. Cecilia Church in her younger years, had been a member of the Eagles Club and the Loyal Order of the Moose for many years. Most importantly, she enjoyed anything that involved her Grandchildren as well as gardening in her flowers and playing cards. Connie is survived by her children, Mark (Joni) Zinser of Clare, Patrick “Zeke” (Lori) Zinser of Farwell, and Kristina Zinser also of Clare, her grandchildren, Josh, Katelyn (Gentry), Ashtyn (Colby), Donnie, and Jordan, and step-grandchildren Jason (Megan) and Jenna (Tim). Other survivors include her great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Colton, Gracie, Weston, Winston, and Wayne, her siblings, Suzanne Murphy, Michael (Alice) Murphy, Butch (Becky) Murphy, and sister-in-law, Mary Murphy, her in-laws, John (Kaki) Zinser, Jim (Margaret) Zinser, and Sue (Dale) Karp, her dear friends, Ginny Smith and Penny Smith, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Patrick Murphy, Her mother and father in-law, Dutch and Ellen Zinser, and nephews, Cody and Michael Zinser. Funeral Services for Connie will take place on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Clare Chapel of the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Jack Taylor officiating. Friends may visit the Zinser family at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. to the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
