Charlotte L. Johnson

Charlotte Johnson, age 83, passed away and went to be with her heavenly father on December 29th, 2020. Charlotte was born on August 25th, 1937 in Flint, MI to her parents George and Ruth Stone. She married Walter Johnson in 1955. Charlotte was a stay-at-home mom for most of her life however she also dabbled in a few business ventures. One such business was a day care center that she operated. She treated each child who came in as one of her own and followed them throughout their lives. One mother recalls that every time a siren was heard Charlotte would have the children stop what they were doing and pray for the individuals involved. She was always more concerned about others than she was about herself. Charlotte was a true Christian and prayer warrior and spent many hours daily, reading the bible and praying for others. Her family was her top priority and she loved them deeply, especially her four grandsons. They spent many vacations together in Caseville where they remember birthday celebrations, beach trips and funny pranks. She had a great sense of humor and was always ready to strike back with her own pranks! The boys also remember many sleepover nights making pizza and watching TV. But most of all she was just there for you if you needed something or just wanted to hang out. She was the perfect mother, grandmother, and friend! Charlotte is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Todd Witbeck of Clare, MI; her four grandsons, Andrew, Adam, Alex, and Aaron Witbeck of Clare, MI; her daughter and her significant other, Lori Tesch and Bob Marshall of Ortonville, MI; her brother and sister-in-law Ken and Linda Stone of Clare, MI; nieces Michelle Stone and Kim Schafer and nephew Troy Stone. At her request Charlotte will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
