Charles "Chuck" R. Reynolds Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Reynolds Jr. died unexpectedly at his home on December 12, 2025. He was born May 4, 1974 in Pontiac, Michigan. He grew up in Highland, Michigan until his family moved to Lake George in 1986. While attending Farwell High School, Chuck was taught the skills to be an auto mechanic by his father, Charlie, and his grandfather, Pete. He graduated from high school in 1992. Chuck was a gifted and generous mechanic, and ran a successful business, Evergreen Garage, with his father until he became a Chevrolet service manager in 2023. Chuck took his automotive talents to the next level as a drag racer: He was a two-time winner of the National Hot Rod Association’s ultimate achievement, the “Wally,” along with countless other trips to the winner’s circle. Chuck spent 22 years with wife Shari Lewis after their marriage in 2003, they had countless adventures together. After a near-death experience in 2012, Chuck struggled with post-traumatic stress and alcohol abuse. He found family, and his “higher power,” in Alcoholics Anonymous groups, which he attended almost nightly. He was able to stop drinking in July of 2022 and remain sober for three years. This was amazing to witness, and we continue to be proud of that strength. Chuck was blessed to be loved by many friends, and he made his mark on many hearts. His family would like to thank his friends, Toby, Aaron, Klint and Kristie, Gail, Dustin, Dan, Steve, and Gary, for never wavering. Chuck is survived by his parents, Charlie and Dianne Reynolds of Lake George, wife for the past 22 years, Shari Reynolds, his sister, Connie (Douglas) Lance and their daughters, Mayson and Marlee of Clare, and his half-brother Richard (Audrey) Reynolds and their children, Alyssa and Richie, of Atlanta, Michigan, his brother-in-law Tommy (Sara) Lewis and nephew Thomas. Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents Pete and Peg Taylor and mother-in-law Kay Lewis. A memorial service in honor of Chuck will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Farwell Chapel of the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with Chaplain Kelly Morley officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday the 3rd from 11:00 A.M. to the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
