Barbara J. Weaver

Barbara Jane Jones Weaver, 74, of Ludington Drive, Lake, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Born on October 21, 1950, in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. Jones and the late H. Betty Jane McConnell Jones Hahn. She married Homer L. Weaver on September 4, 1971, who preceded her in death. Barbara was a devoted homemaker, finding her greatest joy in caring for her family. Her home was always filled with warmth, kindness, and the comforting aroma of her cooking. She dedicated her life to nurturing her loved ones and creating a haven where everyone felt welcome. She held a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, particularly the birds and vibrant flowers. Her gentle spirit and love for the outdoors served as a constant reminder of the peace and grace she embodied. Above all, Barbara cared deeply for others. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her greatest desire was for her family to walk with the Lord. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion. She will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate to know her. She is survived by five daughters and one son: Rhoda Detweiler and her husband Michael of Lake, Michigan; Ruthy Bennetch and her husband John of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Laura Kauffman and her husband Richard of Rosebud, Texas; Daryl and his wife Denise of Lake, Michigan; Marilyn Betchel and her husband Carlin of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; and Patricia Reiff and her husband Justin of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Homer, her parents, and her brother Ronald. She is survived by her brother Robert of Orville, Ohio, and her sister Debra Stauffer of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania. Funeral services in honor of Barbara will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Great Lakes Mennonite Church, located at 720 Ann Arbor Trail, Clare, Michigan 48617 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Art Nolt officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosebush Amish Cemetery in Rosebush, Michigan. Visitation for Barbara will take place at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon, to the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
