Alejandra Jaime

Alejandra (Cepeda) Jaime, 96, of Clare, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Alejandra was born February 19, 1924, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Herlinda (Elizalde) and Jose Abelardo Cepeda. Alejandra and her family then moved to Saginaw, Michigan where she grew up and met Jesse Marcelino Jaime. They were married on November 27, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio. Alejandra moved to Clare in 2005 to live with her daughter. Alejandra was a devout catholic, a member of St. Joseph parish and later St. Andrew parish, she enjoyed crafting and cooking, especially her famous tortillas which were a favorite of the family. She was a big fan of watching sports, especially the Clare Pioneers, Little League World Series, Tom Brady, Steph Curry, and the Michigan Wolverines. She shared a special bond with the family cat, “Little Gray”. She will forever be remembered for her special love for her family. Alejandra is survived by her sons John (Debbie) Jaime of Saginaw and Dennis (Patti) Jaime of Saginaw, and daughter Christine (Kelly) Luplow of Clare; grandchildren Jason Jaime of Tecumseh, Michigan, Sarah (Adam) Rehmeier of Highland, Michigan, Melissa (Jason) Vogel of Canyon Lake, California, Christopher (Emily) Jaime of Freeland, Michigan, Adam (Jessika) Jaime of Owosso, Michigan, Ben Jaime of Saginaw, Ryan (Sarah) Jaime of Portage, Michigan, Reyna Luplow of Saginaw, Brent Luplow of Brighton, Michigan, Jillian Luplow of Clare and John Matthew LaGalo of Saginaw; great-grandchildren Thea Jaime, Maverick Rehmeier, Bronson Rehmeier, Hawkeye Rehmeier, Havannah Vogel, Jovina Vogel, Alondra Vogel, Brynn Jaime, Camryn Jaime, Logan Jaime, and Natalie Jaime, Hayden Jaime, Reid Jaime, Alexis Jaime, and Emma Jaime; and many nieces and nephews, including special niece, Diane Verdusco Bearss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; her parents; her brothers Abelardo (John) and Randall (Rudy) Cepeda of Saginaw; and sister Josephine Verdusco of Saginaw, grandson Brendan Jaime and granddaughter, Kelly Jaime. A small memorial service for immediate family will take place on March 27, 2020 in Saginaw. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
